(a) Geography is the scientific study of the earth's surface, its physical features, climate, soils and vegetation, and the relationship between people and their environment.[B2]

(b) Physical Geography — the study of the natural environment/physical features and processes of the earth's surface (relief, climate, soils, vegetation, water bodies, rocks). Human Geography — the study of people and their activities on the earth's surface (population, settlement, economic activities, transport and trade).[B2 B2]

(c) Any ONE valid point, e.g.: promotes wise use and conservation of resources; aids in environmental planning and management; helps in understanding human–environment interactions for sustainable resource use; guides land-use planning.

(a) Weather is the day-to-day (short-term) state of the atmosphere at a place, while climate is the average weather condition of a place over a long period of time (usually 30 years or more).[B2 B2]
