Read the passage below and answer the questions that follow.

The rain had finally stopped after three days of heavy downpour. The small village of Kimuri was left muddy, with flooded paths and fallen tree branches everywhere. However, despite the destruction, the air was fresh, and the scent of wet soil filled the morning breeze.

Teresia, a 13-year-old girl, stepped carefully through the slippery path as she carried a basket of vegetables to the market. Her family depended on selling vegetables to earn a living. She had woken up early to harvest fresh spinach and sukuma wiki from their garden.
